If you enjoy forbidden romances, age gap romances, and BDSM, “Praise” by Sara Cate should be your next read. This book definitely fall into the erotica category. There are plenty of spicy scenes and they are very descriptive. As the name suggest, Charlie and Emerson each have a praise kink and this kink is displayed throughout the entire novel. The novel also incorporates other BDSM kinks such as submission/domination, impact play, and voyeurism.
This book is the epitome of forbidden romance. Not only is there a large 20+ age gap, he is her boss, and he is also her exboyfriends dad. The main tension is the novel is if/how they can overcome these barriers.
While Emerson does have more experience than Charlie, I appreciated how Charlie took agency over her own sexuality throughout the book and took an active role in going after what she wanted. If you’re looking for a spicy BDSM read with complicated relationships, then you may enjoy this book.
